The Delineation of the Langat Basin Aquifer Based on Geological and Hydrogeological Characterization of Three Urban Areas of Malaysia

Aims: The aim of this study is to find out the hydrogeological settings and aquifer properties Kajang, Bangi, Semenyih urban areas overcome mismanagement groundwater.
 Study Design: scarcity groundwater one major concerns urbanization in growing populated countries like Malaysia. Lack knowledge subsurface geology, hydrogeology main reason for Langat Basin.
 Place Duration Study: targeted three Bangi Data were collected from Mineral Geosciences Department, Borehole logs, pumping tests level monitoring data have been analysed interpreted study.
 Methodology: Subsurface logs produced by Strater Demo4 software; Water analyses done data, contour map was plotted using ArcGIS software with calculated head values Pumping test curve has prepared Excel 2007.
 Results: are situated Kenny Hill formation. pumped four types formations they are; hard rock, weathered sedimentary, shallow sedimentary a combination alluvium rock. Groundwater flow direction controlled topography, hilly north-eastern side low elevated south-western side. identified condition Kajang area confined, boundary consolidated fractured. confined fractured town leaky, unconfined town. Transmissivity Specific capacity all aquifers show range 2.35m2/day 25.92m2/day 2.64 m2/day 41.28m2/day respectively.
 Conclusion: This will help establish robust policies sustainable development groundwater.
